Celebrate the Holidays with the Joplin Amateur Radio Club!
The Joplin Amateur Radio Club invites all members and their families to our 2024 Christmas Party! Join us for an evening of great food, camaraderie, and holiday cheer at the Golden Corral on Tuesday, December 10th, at 5:30 PM. We’ll be gathering in the cozy northwest wing of the restaurant.
This year, as part of the festivities, one lucky attendee will walk away with a special gift from the club through a drawing! It’s our way of spreading a little extra joy this holiday season.

Calling All Ham Radio Elves! Volunteers Needed for Santa Net
The magic of the season is upon us, and what better way to share the holiday spirit than by helping children connect with Santa Claus himself? We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist during the Santa Net sessions on December 2nd, 4th, 9th, and 11th at 7:00 PM each evening.
As a volunteer, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring a smooth and joyful experience as children get to make their special QSOs with Santa over the airwaves. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Requirements to Volunteer:
- Must be a licensed ham radio operator.
- Hold a General Class license or higher.
- Love spreading holiday cheer!
