FROM NIXA ARC for HAMFEST NOV 8th at 8am.

We’d like to invite you to put this year’s Nixa ARC “NARCfest” hamfest on your calendar and come out and enjoy a great experience in amateur radio camaraderie!  As you are driving into the hamfest, make sure and tune your radios to the 147.015+, PL 162.2 Hz, for the hamfest talkin and chit-chat as people are driving into the hamfest.  You can arrange a meet with others coming to the hamfest on the radio and get directions or hamfest information while you enjoy your trip in.  If you are coming from further out, you can participate / listen to the talk-in from any SMLRS repeater and that frequency list can be found at https://smlrs.info/repeater-frequencies-and-pl-tones/  NOTE:  The 146.790- PL 91.5 Hz in Golden CIty isn’t on that list yet, so don’t forget it!
This year’s hamfest is back at the Victory Baptist Church located at 252 N Nicholas Rd in Nixa, MO and the doors open Saturday morning at 8 a.m.  Entry tickets are $10 and table reservations are also only $10.  Supertickets, which give you 20 chances to win a prize, are $20 and will get you into the hamfest plus 20 prize tickets vs the 1 prize ticket you get with a standard $10 entry.
We will have both breakfast and lunch on site with a large room for people to sit and eat or stand and visit  in the hamfest area without being away from the festivities and fun that goes along with a good hamfest experience.
We will again have commercial vendors such as Associated Radio, D&L Antenna, Mike Hoffman Embroidery and this year we’ve added Spec5 who is coming up from Dallas, TX with his full line of Meshtastic gear!  Spec5 will also be giving a presentation about Meshtastic and has donated a nice door prize for the hamfest.
This year’s grand prize is a Yaesu FT-891 with ATAS mobile antenna system, a prize worth about $1000!  We will also have many other prizes to hand out including other radios, accessories and gift certificates to use with your favorite vendors.
With about 30% of flea market tables already sold and 27 commercial vendor tables already spoken for, we are looking at a good turnout and hope to be at 300 or more attendees at this year’s event.
To reserve your table, entry, or advance raffle tickets, please visit https://www.nixahams.net/hamfest ASAP as now that we are officially opening up table sales the remaining tables will likely go quickly.
VE Testing will also be available on site for anyone wanting to upgrade or obtain a license courtesy of Rob, W3LGA, and the Nixa ARC VE testing team.
All proceeds from the hamfest support the Southwest Missouri Linked Repeater System (SMLRS) and help us keep repeaters on the air, upgrade repeaters, and sometimes even add repeaters!  We appreciate your support of the hamfest, its vendors and ultimately the SMLRS by you attending the hamfest.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us at [email protected] or call / text at 417-501-4429.  We are extremely excited to see you at this year’s event!
